I was looking at stock photos, and I happened across this one. And the first thing that went through my mind was: that’s Kara from my novel Otherworlders. Or at least pretty close. Of course, as with any story, the reader tends to imagine what’s right for them and their interpretation of the story. Which, in my opinion, is the best way to read. But this is a little peak at what was going through my head when I envisioned her (even though I found this long after).

I can totally see her as Kara also. One of my favorite parts of reading is to visualize each (main) character in the story. In that way, I do my own character “building” from the feet on up.
I am curious, have you put pen to paper yet towards a sequel to the book? Have you even decided if you will be writing a sequel yet? I truly hope so, as I am totally invested in their worlds!

Thanks, Donna 🙂 I’ve got the story mapped out, and I’m roughly 1/8 the way into the first draft. I’m sorry to say that it’s a bit slow going, due to all the life stuff, but it is something I’m working on, and it will exist someday, hopefully in the not too too distant future.
