I remember little of my beginnings. I suppose no one ever really does. My first memories aren’t of a loving motherly smile. Victoria tried her best, but she was a teacher first and a protective guardian. Mothering didn’t come easy to her. In fact, most anything traditional challenged her. Last Week’s SS: Dealt – The Search
Victoria told this story to me a thousand times. She said that it was important that I knew where I came from and the severity of the situation. But I think it was of equal importance to her that I never feel as though I was easily abandoned. My best guess is that she presented them a hefty bag of coin and they handed me over without a second thought. Nor do I think they told her of my destiny. Not until she demanded the card. My parent may have been on the run, but they still needed to work. With all of their money spent on the hospital trip, they were back to peddling. They set up shop at the opposite end of town, and wore disguises to reduce the risk that anyone who knew them would see. If anyone were to locate my parents, it would take a great deal of motivation and money. Victoria had both.

Read it from the beginning: Welcome to the world
After tense minutes of silence waiting for the High Priestess to arrive, she finally entered. She was being led by security, however, they dare not touch her. No one had ever heard of a priestess inflicting any sort of damage on any living creature. However, this did not diminish the fear that people felt in her presence.
“Priestess, did you deal this card?” the Emperor asked, maddened.
