So, I suppose it’s the end of the month.  Maybe I should be doing updates for May?  But I don’t really know what’s in store for next month.  I suppose, in a lot of ways, I live my life day to day.  A lot of the time I think it’d be better if I could plan for the future a bit more.  But, I guess there’s something to be said for living in the moment.  Right?

Dressed for the Day – Bus Blogging

It seems like sitting at the front of the bus is an invitation for people to sit by you. It makes sense, people don’t want to walk very far. Last week I had a man, who I don’t believe spoke English, dresses as a cowboy of sorts, asked me to move over so he could sit next to me, despite the bus being nearly empty. Of course, I did.   Continue reading →

Running Late – Bus Blogging

I didn’t bus blog this morning because I didn’t take the bus. Either my alarm didn’t go off this morning, or I slept through it. I’m not discounting the possibility that I woke up and turned it off, probably on accident instead of hitting snooze, but I have no memory of this.

So, waking up late, and still exhausted from rock climbing after work yesterday, I sprang to, instantly realizing that I was late. I’ve had some trouble getting to work on time this week. Tuesday I took the wrong bus, yesterday, my boyfriend took the wrong bus (see, it can happen to anyone!) so I had to go get him on my lunch, then we ate, making my 1/2 lunch an hour, and today, late again. My guy had to get up early and take me because he needed the car today.   Continue reading →

I wasn’t planning to bus blog on the way home. But this is not my day for buses.

I got on the correct one this time. Although, when I had to transfer, I was confused about which side if the street to stand on, both had stops for the same number, but not a map. I spent nearly too long on the one side before realize it was wrong.

The first bus cost $1. I could have gotten a transfer, but I was afraid to ask. I put my dollar in the machine, found it cost $1.50. Not wanting to break another dollar, and seeing that it took Taps, I tapped. Charged me the full amount. Oh well. The bus driver was confused, and a bit belligerent. Over the course if the route she cursed and honked at cars. Far cry from the nice man this morning.   Continue reading →

On my way to the bus stop today, completely ignorant of the time and assuming that I was running late, I was just in sight of the bus stop as I saw it pull up. Fearing that I would miss it, I broke into a run. He waited, though not for me, for someone else he saw running. This made me feel less badly when I instantly realized that I was on the wrong bus. This one was half the size of the one I normally took. Looking around, knowing the truth, there was nothing I could but ask the bus driver “I’m on the wrong bus, aren’t I?”    Continue reading →
