I went to the Writers of the Future Awards tonight. I almost didn’t. My guy had to work, so I was going alone. My social anxiety started to kick in. But, I persisted and went anyway. It was a much bigger, fancier event than I expected. It was a good show.
My only regret is that I wasn’t able to stay longer. My guy needed to be picked up from work, so I missed most of the reception. I really wanted to talk to Orson Scott Card. Oh well. Hopefully there will be more opportunities on the future. I just think it’s cool that I was invited to a thing that he was doing. Also glad I snagged a fancy dessert.
